My experiences purchasing here have always been positive until today. I came across a new item called Salted Egg Tater Tots and told the staff that I wanted “tater tots.” Before making payment, I realized I had been given a different item. That was when I found out there are actually two types of tater tots available. I then clarified that I wanted the Salted Egg Tater Tots, but the Malay staff criticized me for not specifically mentioning “salted egg.” As a customer, I wasn't aware that there were two different versions. I don't work at Old Chang Kee, so how would I know? Am I expected to study the ENTIRE MENU or hold up the queue just to go through EVERY SINGLE variation? Since staff are more familiar with the menu than customers, wouldn't it be more appropriate to clarify which version I wanted instead of blaming me for not being specific? I didn't want to argue or create a scene, but she criticized me twice over this, which made the experience very unpleasant.
