South Buona Vista Braised Duck at Punggol Coast Hawker Centre is usually known for its long queues, so my colleague and I were surprised to find no line during our recent visit. We ordered the boneless braised duck meat for 4 pax at $24. While the duck was indeed tender and flavorful, we felt that the portion size was a bit lacking. Despite this, the quality of the duck itself was good, with a rich and savory sauce. If you're lucky enough to catch it without a queue, it's worth trying, but be mindful of the portion sizes.

Extremely disappointing duck rice — not worth the hype or price. I ordered the duck rice and it was bland and the portion was small. The duck meat was tough and not tender at all. Would not recommend.

Came to experience the hype. Hmmm... It is alright, a good plate of braised duck rice. Clean, light and healthy tasting. The duck is tender and the rice is fragrant. Worth a try if you are in the area.
