The Punggol pasar malam, 榜鹅夜市, is back on the grass field beside Waterway Point from 30 September to 31 October 2026. Seth Lui's team walked it in early October and counted more than 60 food and drink stalls, a large squishy toy store, amusement rides, game booths, and live music on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Ahboy.com's island-wide pasar malam list, updated 10 October 2026, matches those dates and puts the field at 70 Punggol Central, next to Punggol MRT Exit B.
Hours are 12pm to 10pm every day of the run. Entry is free. You pay stall by stall. A meal for one lands around $10 to $20 if you copy the stalls Seth Lui tried. Bring cash plus a PayNow-ready phone, because night-market tills vary.
How to walk in from the MRT
Punggol MRT, NE17, is the last stop on the North East Line. Exit B drops you on the Waterway Point side. The field is the open grass next to the mall, the plot Punggol uses when a night market is large enough to need rides. Sam Kee LRT is one stop if you are already on the Punggol LRT. Buses that terminate at Punggol interchange work the same way: walk toward Exit B, then look for the tents and the ride lights after dusk.
Mall toilets and air-con at Waterway Point are useful once you have eaten. The mall keeps usual shopping hours. The pasar malam itself is outdoors, so haze, rain, and late-afternoon heat all hit the queues. A compact umbrella and a water bottle earn their keep on this field.
What is actually on the stalls
Seth Lui's 6 October 2026 write-up is the on-the-ground menu. The Pasta Lab lets you build a pasta from $6.50. Their Creamy Prawn Tom Yum at $10 was the dish they rated highest, with a free Aglio Olio for the first 30 customers of the day through 2 October, a promo the stall said might stretch if demand held. Gepuk Leh!! sells Indonesian smashed chicken. The Ayam Gepuk Original at $10.90 comes with nasi lemak rice, bayam goreng, cucumber, and a chilli that cuts the fried skin. moochi sells handmade mochi from $5. Mango Bobo at $8 wraps a large mango. Taro Purple Rice Oreo at $7 is the less sweet option.
The Squishy Club takes a full booth of silicone, taba, and foam squishies. That is the stall families with primary-school kids circle after dinner. Rides and carnival games sit at the far end of the field. Live music is advertised Friday through Sunday only. Weeknights are quieter and better if you want shorter food queues.
Why this run is the leftover to catch
Punggol's night-market calendar this year has jumped between the interchange alley and this field. A 15-day run in July sat in the tight walkway by Exits C and D. This October edition is the month-long field version, with rides and 60-plus F&B stalls, and it ends 31 October. After that date the tents come down. The next advertised North-East trade fair on Ahboy's list is Buangkok Fernvale from 30 October to 14 November on the open field opposite Fernvale Square, a different town and a different walk from Sengkang MRT.
If you live in Punggol, Sengkang, or Hougang, this is the close-to-home night market for the rest of October. Eat first, then rides. The last food orders still happen near 10pm, but popular stalls pack up earlier when they sell out. Arrive before 7pm on Friday and Saturday if you want the full stall list plus music.
